Ceramic Nano Coating & A Corvette C7 Stingray Z51 – A Glossy Love Affair

Sometimes vehicles or things grow on you with time. This 2016 Corvette C7 Stingray Z51 was definitely the case. Granted she has always been an aggressive looking and loud sounding powerhouse. However, once all of her lines and curves were better revealed and showcased with a full two phase paint correction and Ceramic Nano Coating, she transformed like Cinderella. With only a few hundred miles on the clock, there were some definite issues within the paint the owner definitely noticed, and knew was robbing his specially ordered baby from looking her best.
As seen above, the entire vehicle was covered in swirl marks and some areas were heavily concentrated with distinctive finger tip shaped deeper rubbing marks. The dealership went put their hands all over her and made sure the C7 Stingray Z51 has some dealer installed defects. The above picture around the front badge is a prime example and is pretty telling of the overall starting surface condition.
After a full two phase paint correction, including all of the vinyl striping, lower rocker panels, door jambs, the waterfall between the seats, and the bottoms of bumpers & the diffuser, she was ready for two coats of Ceramic Nano Coating.
Granted the car was yellow to being with. But, after a two phase paint correction and Ceramic Nano coating she was blazing Y(H)ELLOW with a capital LOOK AT ME! . The results were nothing less than bright, clear paint that could amply be dubbed “glossfest,” coupled with a bit of blinding thrown in for good measure.

At delivery, the vehicle owner was ecstatic that his baby was gorgeous protected and ready to tackle the road with new-found gloss and paint clarity. We also somewhere along the way, fell in love with this beauty and have a newfound appreciation for the Corvette C7 Stingray. While she has new modern styling, once she is switched on, one can’t help feel nostalgic and excited to hear and feel that good ole’ fashioned muscle car power!
